What to Expect?
The electrifying Rouge have been preparing for an all-out dance party set at the next Music Parlour. Can you dig it?
Without giving away too much, you should spend 6 minutes over here listening to a few teasers.
We have also booked in Brett Millius from Medernboys Moderngirls who has some Epic solo material that he will be debuting at MP. Joining him on stage we have a very special guest from THIS BAND. Now, I can’t divulge which member it will be, but I can tell you this…
There may be some covers involved - and it may take you wayyyy back.
Oh, and did I mention that Brett is also our very special guest DJ?
For anyone who graced us with their presence at the last Parlour, you know exactly what is going down.If i’m not mistaken, there was an impromptu break-dance session that saw windmills and dance-offs. But I’m sure we will go even further this time.
DJ Jer Tompkins will also be tearing it up with his classic style - for all of our favs during the night.

Perhaps You Know What’s Up?
So March is closing, at least it will after this weekends Junofest. And that means we can once again start tearing up Central with our Music parlour: Neighbours of Songs. This past month we have done a lot of crazy ass shit. And we want to continue the trend of getting bat crazy during our next showcase. We will be leaking our line up and details in the next week, but know one thing. April 14th is going to be one of a kind.

As we all prepare for CMW, let’s take a few minutes out to celebrate you.
Come to Central for Music Parlour this thursday, and bring your FAV record. Or two. Or three. This night is all about you.We’ll be turing our little bar that could, into a super sexy, hot and sweaty, verge of malnutrition, dance party.
Yup. Bring your records, and your dancing shoes. This one is gonna get dirty.

It was loud. It was packed. It was epic. Our Best Parlour to date and we couldn’t be happier that Megan Bonnell and SVC played their tunes for us. Declan Edwards was kind enough to film the latest installment. You can see more by him on his vimeo page.

Neighbours of Songs Night 2: Brett & Carleigh
What a grand evening.
There was art and there was music. There was covers of Neil Young, Weakerthans, Zeus, and oh so much more. We saw foosball games, DJ Jer Tompkins blow the roof off the building, and even a Kazoo solo.
If you were there, you definitely felt the magic in the air as Brett and Carleigh took flight on the modest Central stage to perform some of their fav Canadian tunes.
Earlier in the night, for those who missed it, Zoe Jordan, Anna Mernieks and Nora Decter sat with us on vintage couches in a cozy, candlelit living room and soothed the crowds with their beautiful harmonies. Surrounding the audience was the incredible art of Miss Andrea Manica, who showcased everything she has been working on in the past few months. For everyone that saw it, the plaid canvas was my personal favourite. You can see all of her work here (and please support your local artists by picking up some of her amazing work)
I think Night 2 really showcased what this experience is all about.Friends getting together and playing music - just for the love of it.
We all laughed, we all listened, and we all had a great time.
